A graceful Art Nouveau oval frame in gilt bronze, entwined with iris blossoms and buds, flowing ribbon stems and leafy tendrils in the whiplash style that defined Paris around 1900. A full iris bloom crowns the top, and the frame stands on naturalistic branch feet.
The back is finished in gilt metal with its original hinged easel stand and arched support, plus a small ring at the top so it can also hang on the wall.
Beautiful on a nightstand, desk or vanity with a cherished portrait, or as part of a gallery wall.
