Charming pair of Staffordshire "Disraeli" spaniels, named for the distinctive curled topknot said to resemble the hairstyle of British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Each dog is glazed in crisp white with black ears, curls and paws, finished with painted blue eyes and gilt chains and lockets draped around the neck.
Made to sit facing one another as mantel ornaments, Staffordshire spaniels were a fixture of English country interiors. A wonderful pair for a mantel, bookshelf, or flanking a console.
