Overview: Stunning 19th century French wall-mounted font featuring a vibrant champleve enamel cross with integrated holy water cup, set against rich burgundy velvet. 

Date: Circa late 19th century (1870-1900) 

History: Produced during France's Gothic Revival period, these benitiers were hung near home entrances or bedrooms for daily blessing. French craftsmen of the era excelled in champleve enamelwork, and pieces of this quality were treasured family heirlooms passed down through generations. 

Condition: Leather backing with circle hanger. Small wear to the velvet (overall in good condition).
