This magnificent Victorian ebonized wood double inkstand is bordered on all sides with intricate mother-of-pearl floral and foliate tile inlay, the stark contrast of bright white pearl against jet black wood as dramatic and beautiful today as the day it was made. The stand features two original cut crystal inkwells with brass lids, a central brass pen rest, a recessed pen tray channel, a lower drawer with a turned ebony knob, and bun feet — every element original and present.
