A beautiful vintage opaline compote in a soft turquoise, the color of sea glass and robin's eggs. The generous rounded bowl rises from a knopped stem on a broad domed foot, all hand-blown in one luminous opaline glass that glows when the light passes through it.
Made in the tradition of the colored opaline glass that was the height of fashion in 19th century French interiors, it has the same milky, jewel-like glow collectors love.
Stunning on its own as a centerpiece, filled with fruit or flowers, or grouped with other opaline on a mantel or console.
